National and international experts in legal psychology will lecture about gender violence. From 17 to 20 April, free entry.

The Psychology program of Jose Acevedo and Gómez Bogotá CEAD, with the support of the School of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, , invites to the Third Conference of Legal Psychology which thematic will focus on "Gender Violence".

The event will take place in Bogotá DC (CEAD Jose Acevedo and Gómez, Transversal 31 No. 12-38 South) on 17, 18, ​​19 and 20 April, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Conference will be transmitted to all regions of the country through the web.

The academic activity is coordinated by the Psychologist Fidel Castro Jimenez Psychosocial Intervention in the legal context Course Director and Tutors Network. Who achieved the endorsement of the American Association of Legal Psychology.

UNAD CEAD MEDELLÍN with the communes

UNAD, CEAD of Medellín, headed by Director Juan Bayona Ferreira, presented its portfolio to the leaders of the Northeast Zone (communes 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Medellín city).  The meeting took place in "Los Pomos" Buenos Aires neighborhood, and it was organized by the General Coordinator of the Local Development Plan, Elkin de Jesús Pérez Zapata; and UNAD Social Communication student, Orlando García, who is also the President of the Local Administrative committee of commune 1 (2012-2015).

In this event was communicated that Miguel Antonio Ramón Martínez School, which belongs to UNAD CEAD of Medellín, has opened inscriptions for Alphabetization, Elementary School, Middle School and High School.  Thanks to the alliance made with the Education Secretary of Medellín, in the Widening of Coverage setting, 120 places were made available for inscriptions in High School.

UNAD CEAD Medellín at the 7th Division of the National Army

Colonel Ávila and Major Carlos Sarmiento from the 7th Division of the National Army received the UNAD servers Jhon Luis Castaño, Orlando Pineda, Georffrey Acevedo and Juan Bayona to settle on a series of beneficent activities for the two institutions UNAD and Defense National Ministry agreement.  A radio announcement was emitted within the Division and flyers containing the UNAD portfolio were handed in.

The brigades from Carepa (Urabá), Puerto Berrío and Quibdó belong to the 7th Division, as well as the 4th Division in Colombia Street in Medellín. Likewise, UNAD student Amparo Rodríguez, civilian server of the National Army, opened a space in the 4th brigade to introduce the UNAD community to Colonel Forero and allowed the entrance of the UNAD to the divisions attached to this unit.

The objective was to present the opportunities that officers, subofficers and civilians have in our university, characterized by its mediation and flexibility that are a key educative response to the academic mobility of the Ministry of Defense members.

CEAD TURBO BEGINS 2013 WITH MANY GOOD EXPECTATIONS

CEAD Turbo began academic works, which are full of commitments, and they would be impacting in a lot of knowledge especially for students.

Therefore, it began with induction process in different areas and there are more than 90 students enrolled in the semester 2013 -1. On the other hand, the region has gained considerable ground in relation to ICT issues. Similarly, CEAD Turbo's team has been working hard on VIRTUAL CAMPUS where almost all have participated in the recruitment and qualification process. Beside, more than 50 of them have already started the workshop "Reading and writing to Communicate", which provides key elements available for communication in different ways whether verbal, written or by Internet.

Council Meeting

In recent days, an important meeting occurred between the National Open and Distance University - UNAD; ASOCOMUNALES Federation of Antioquia (FEDECANTIOQUIA) and the communal bodies Director of the Government of Antioquia.

From Medellín city “Periodismo de hoy” with MINTIC offers Radio training with no charge.

Virtual training courses about use and appropriation of ICTs are back, in which, through the platforms of Red Periodismo de Hoy and REDial Colombia, they have certified more than four thousands communicators, journalists and all population interested in topics such as digital communication around the country.

The certification provided by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies TIC is for free. It will be the first formation cycle during this year 2013; since in the second term, new courses will begin which will continue with the consolidation of the first Digital Journalism School in Colombia.

The courses are: digital radio, social radio commitment and legal aspects of radio in Colombia, they will begin on January 28th with no charge at all.  Didactic materials are included like graphic information, multimedia videos, and advisors via streaming among other pedagogical tools for teaching through digital platforms.

After obtaining the approval as a member, the registration must be done to each one of the courses. This procedure allows knowing in which level the formation process begins according to the knowledge that every person has in a determined topic.  Each level certifies in an independent way and according to its learning credit hour. In average, each course requires a dedication of 10 hour weekly.

Virtual Languages Institute -INVIL​- of UNAD, Obtained The Registry of Education District Secretariat.

With the registration, won last November 16, 2012, the District entity guarantees and authorizes the UNAD to offer English courses to the public in general.

The courses will be offer at the national level as a program of occupational training and human development from the first semester of 2013. It will begin offering English and then will be open in French, German and Spanish as foreign language courses, among others.

People who will be register and pursuit all levels of English, backed by INVIL, will get a certification from the University with the support of UNAD Florida.

This certification involved the dedication of teachers and administrative of INVIL​​, that along of one year carried out all the requirements demanded by the control entities, refined the pedagogical, monitoring and evaluation systems, adjusted to the highest international standards, in order to offer a virtual formation on free courses of high quality for all Colombians, on a robust platform and acceding to latest technology.

The INVIL ​​now invites all those who are interested in learning a second language, English initially -with the facility to work from the comfort of your home or office, just connecting through the Internet, to register for the next term as soon are available inscriptions.

II International Meeting “Languages ​​ Teaching on Distance-Virtual Modality”

Exploring teaching processes where take place pertinence and quality, are the guidelines worked at the First National Forum of degree in English as a Foreign Language Bachelor and Second International Meeting “Languages ​​ Teaching on Distance-Virtual Modality” that have as meeting point the CEAD of Valledupar of the National Open and Distance University, UNAD.

 

The meeting took place until November 21th was organized by the Dean of Education Sciences School and UNAD English as a Foreign Language Bachelor Program Teachers, with the purpose to develop a space for reflection that allows the production of significant progress on teaching and learning  languages​​ on distance- virtual mode.

 

Jairo Gutierrez de Piñerez, dean of the Caribbean Region of Education Sciences School, considers that the meeting is a convergence of knowledge: "We are looking to work on some thinking lines of specific research, propose and suggest to see how to improve English teaching processes that currently are handled with low standards.”

 

During the forum were socialized significant experiences about UNAD English as a Foreign Language Bachelor program, because the program submitted to the Ministry of National Education used a virtual methodology as a support to open and distance education, where take place some synchronous scenarios through resources such as chat and web conference and the student has the opportunity to interact with their teachers.
